Building Excellence Profile

With a production capacity of more than 1,000 megawatts, Hoosier Energy's Merom Generating Station in Sullivan County provides dependable baseload power at the lowest possible cost for central and southern Indiana member distribution cooperatives.

Each of the Lawrence Generating Station's six units has a capacity of 43 megawatts. The quick start-up capability of its simple cycle combustion turbines adds operational and economic flexibility for the cooperative power supplier, particularly during periods of peak demand.
